Installation of this LED light kit wiring, part # 98174LED, may vary slightly depending on the specific cargo carrier you have and whether the wiring harness to the LED light assemblies has to be run underneath the cargo bed versus being threaded through the carrier deck. (This will depend on how large the openings are within the deck material). I have included a video link for this product that you may find helpful.
We do have both 12 inch and 48 inch 4-pole connector extensions available. The 12 inch extension is part # 9653P and the 48 inch extension is part # 18044.
If you do require one of the 4-pole extensions you can take the precautionary steps of applying some dielectric grease to the connectors and also wrapping the connections with electrical tape to provide a moisture barrier. These steps will help to protect the integrity of your electrical connections. The part number for the dielectric grease is # 11755.
