For your 2018 Avenger 28dbs I recommend the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 14'7" Wide - 48" Projection - Black Item # LCV000251477. This topper provides you with 3" of over hang on each end. You want the edges of the canopy to at least meet the outer edge of your T-molding that runs vertical on your slide out. This ensures you have a 3" overhang on each end past the edge of the inner box to prevent anything from blowing onto the top of your box from an angle.

I also recommend putting Butyl Tape for Enclosed Trailer - 1" Wide x 1/8" Thick - 50' Roll Item # 362BT-18x1-50 on your brackets that mount to the wall of your slide-out. This is to insure the holes are seal from water entering the inside of the wall through the mounting hardware. As the screw is driven into the wall the threads will grab the butyl tape and pull some into the hole to seal it.
