Need 3 Inch Center-Detented U-Bolts for Older Cargo Box

Question:

I am searching for a u-bolt that have a 3 inch on center spread. Do you still handle anything of that dimension? I have attached a picture of what I have.

Thank you for providing the photo and width dimension of the u-bolt for which you are seeking a replacement. If you can provide us with the make and model of your cargo box, we can research availability of exact replacement parts. We do not currently have any u-bolts with a center detent as shown in the photo.

However, I can recommend some multi-purpose replacement u-bolts that may work for you even though mounting a cargo box is not necessarily their intended purpose.

Part # CE15502A is a stainless-steel U-Bolt (sold as a single piece, not a pair) that has a 3-1/8 inch width, 3 inch length and 7/16 inch diameter. This item includes 2 washers and 2 nylon lock nuts.

The other option in this same size is the zinc-plated steel version, also from CE Smith, part # CE15252A. This part also comes as a single piece and includes 2 washers and 2 nylon lock nuts.

Both of these U-Bolts have 14 threads-per-inch (14 TPI).
