Replacement Grease Seal for Axletek Hub BD-545

Question:

Hello, My travel trailer is Skyline Malibu 2008, two axle, empty weight 5,150 lbs. I took a wheel off and saw the drum number is Axeltek BD-545 and also has 07 04 SH number. My questions are as follows, and I would really appreciate guidance. 1. i want to repack bearings but I dont know which seals to purchase. Once I open up, i need the new seals to assemble back the hub/drum. I could open, look for part number and then order, but I was wondering if you can tell the required seals and potentially bearings in advance so that I finish everything in a day. Can you tell me from the info I provided above? Info on the part numbers for seals and inner/outer bearings would be appreciated. 2. In case I need to replace - which drum/hub should I buy? I see a replacement for BD-545-17 but mine doesnt have 17 in the part number, only BD-545. 3. in case I need to replace the brake assembly, which break assembly goes with my trailer axel? 4. In case I need to replace the brake assembly, what other parts do I need? bolts, pins etc. Thank you and special thanks for posting such useful video/QandA content to help DIYers.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The seal you need for your trailer hub is the # 58846. Or for a bearing kit that includes all of the components you'll need you'd want the # BK2-100.

For brake assemblies you'd want the part # AKEBRK-35L for the left side or part # AKEBRK-35R for the right hand side.
