Aftermarket Brake Controller For A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 With A Factory Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2020 chevy 2500hd with the integrated brake controller. I would like to purchase a universal controller preferably time delayed self leveling. Also, i need a long connector wire from the controller to the plug in under the dash. And last but not least, I need to know what to do to enable the factory brake controller. Thank you for your help,

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2020 Chevrolet 2500 I recommed the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Time Delayed Item # 39523. This controller has the time delay feature as well as automatic leveling. The adapter cable you need for your truck is going to be the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers Item # 3064-P. To get your factory brake controller enabled you need to take it to a dealership and have them flash the computer to have it turned off. If you don't have the computer flashed your truck will throw a code because it will be looking for the factory controller.
