Recommended SumoSprings for my 2017 Ram 2500 4x4 with Snow Plow Attached

Question:

Ive got a 2017 RAM 2500 4wd Cummins w/ air rear suspension. When using a V-type snowplow Im experiencing a fair amount of front end sag, even with ballast at the rear. Im considering adding a set of SumoSprings to the front end, but Im not sure if the 800# or 1200# version would be better. Id rather not sacrifice unladen ride quality. Which set would you recommend?

On your 2017 Ram 2500 I recommend using the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SS68RR with the 800 lb. capacity. Because this is occasional use or winter use and not a constant load the softer springs aren't going to effect the unloaded quality much at all.

If you were to use the 1,200 lb. version part # SSF-302-47 it will eliminate more sag but of course will deteriorate the unloaded ride quality more than the 800 pounders.

It is a great question and one that we actually discussed last week in detail. Going over the different applications and such.
