Is Towing with 2015 Chevy Traverse Safe If Towing Under Weight Capacity
Question:
I have a 2015 Chevy traverse without the tow package. I know it says I can tow up to 2000 lbs, But will it cause any issues to pull a small pop up camper a few times a year? The campers are all 1500 lbs or less dry weight, but I don’t want to cause damage to my vehicle.

Expert Reply:
As long as you stay under the towing capacity of any vehicle including your 2015 Chevy Traverse you will be totally safe and not have to worry about any damage in the short term or long term. You'll need a hitch like the # e98863 installed, trailer wiring like part # C56181 and a ball mount kit like # 989900 and you'd be set.
