Is it Normal for UltraLube Biobased Multipurpose Lithium Grease to Liquify In Use

Question:

Ive used LubriMatic Ultra 10307 Multi purpose Lithium Grease, what ive done is cleaned completely and repacked the wheel bearings of this trailer getting it ready for a trip to Arizona 1,600 miles,to haul my motorcycle,I took it on a test ride about 12 miles, then i popped the caps off to top up the grease on the self feeding grease cap, when i took the cap off there was a bit of grease that was liquid enough to drip out of the cap. What im wondering is this normal or have i picked up the wrong type of multi purpose grease.I know the grease i took out in order to replace with this product was still in the grease form not runny at all. Please reply ASP as im wanting to hit the hwy but not sure if i can trust this product. Thanks

This product, LubriMatic # L11358, is a general purpose bio-based lithium grease and will behave differently than a typical petroleum-based grease. While it is fine for most applications that call for a petroleum-based grease, UltraLube Biobased White Lithium Grease is not suitable for packing wheel bearings.

Your needs will be better served with a product such as LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease, # L54FR in 3-oz cartridges and a mini grease gun # 30-800, which is petroleum-based.

Just as a helpful reference I have included a video on re-packing wheel bearings and also an article about different grease products and their applications.
