Which Weight Distribution Hitch for Pioneer Trailblazer BH175 with 475-lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

We have a 2004 GMC Yukon XL and a Pioneer Trailblazer BH175 camper trailer with a tongue weight of about 475 lbs. We would like a weight distributing and anti sway hitch that fits our camper weight. If course it will weigh more when loaded....

We've got just what you're looking for. Typically the tongue weight of a trailer will be between 10-15% of the GVWR, which for a Pioneer Trailblazer BH175 is 3156-lbs, so I believe the 475-lbs would be close to the maximum tongue weight you'd experience. If you've weighed your completely loaded trailer tongue weight at significantly more than that, let me know as it would potentially change the recommendation below.

I recommend using the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # RP66086 which has a dual cam sway control system that works to prevent sway before it starts, so it's going to provide superior sway prevention for your Pioneer Trailblazer BH175 trailer. This weight distribution hitch works with trailers that have tongue weights between 200-lbs and 600-lbs, so your 475-lbs tongue weight would fall towards the middle of that range making it a good fit.

I've linked a brief review video of this system for you to have a look at.
