The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13190 is rated for the 900 lb. tongue weight and 7,500 lb. gross trailer weight that you are looking for. Be sure to check your owner's manual for information of what your GL550 is rated to tow and do not exceed it.
For wiring the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236 is the only available option. This will require to use a test light like the Hook Probe Circuit Tester part # PTW2993 behind your tail light housing to find the appropriate wires to connect your wiring to. This will also require you to run a power wire to the front of the vehicle to the battery to power it. It is not a huge deal but does take some time.
I have linked a video of the wiring installation to give you some insight into the installation process.
