Best Heavy-Duty Tires for 15 Inch Wheels
Question:
I have a very heavy pit on one side of a flat bed trailer that is full legal width. It has 2 3500# axles 15 inch rims. I have changed out the springs on the axles to 5200 I believe it is. The pit weighs about 4000#s by itself. I am wanting to put some really heavy duty tires on this trailer that are rated for the load. What would you recommend or what other questions might i answer?

We can definitely get you the best tires for 15 inch wheels, you just need to make sure when they are fully inflated that you have the proper clearance. With trailer tires, the general rule of thumb is you want at least 3" of clearance from the top of the tire to your fender and at least 1" of clearance between the inside of the tire and your trailer's frame rail.
So with that in mind the best trailer tires with a high load rating for 15 inch wheels are the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304.
These tires measure 28.3 inches in diameter and 8.8 inches wide when inflated, and have a capacity of 2,830 lbs each, which is the highest capacity for your size tires. The Westlake are built with a 10 inch deep tread, the most of any tire, and are radial tires so they will run cooler than bias tires. That is important with the amount of weight you have, as one side being heavier is bound to build up more heat.
The Westlake also come with a 5-year warranty, which is much longer than most tires, and speaks to their quality. For your situation, these are absolutely the best option. I have added a link below to a video review as well of the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304.
