Does Curt or Draw Tite Hitch for 2016 Lexus IS 350 Have Better Ground Clearance
Question:
I have a 2016 Lexus IS350. I currently have a Curt hitch installed and a Saris platform bike rack. I was not aware that the Curt hitch requires a stabilizer strap. What is different about the Draw Tite hitch that it doesn’t require a strap? If I wanted to replace the Curt hitch with a Draw Tite hitch would the mounting be the same? Also, I do not like how low the Curt hitch sits. I bottom out frequently.

Curt actually no longer requires the use of the stabilizer straps when carrying non-supported loads like bike racks with their hitches. That said the Draw Tite hitch part # 24923 that also fits your 2016 Lexus IS 350 does sit up a little higher so you would get slightly better ground clearance.
