What is Difference Between Trailer Tire Sizes ST205/75R14D and ST205/75R14

Question:

What is the difference between A ST205/75R14D and a ST205/75R14 tire please? My camper calls for ST205/75R14D and It came with ST205/75R14. And this is how one of them looks now, peeled entire tread off with under 2500 miles on it. Thank you

The D at the end of the tire size you have just indicates the Load Range of the tire. The version of the size without the letter is same but with an unspecified Load Range. Judging by the picture of your tire it looks like yours were too old and failed. Trailer tires are only good for between 4 and 6 years before they start to lose integrity.

So for a Load Range D tire in the size you need the part # 274-000012 is your best choice. It has a higher speed rating, an automotive tread design for better traction, and also has a great warranty.
