For your specific application with your 2004 Forest River Wildwood Trailer being towed by your 2005 Suburban, we do recommend a weight distribution system with Sway Control, but we are pleased to make a number of recommendations for you, both with and without sway control.

I suggest you review the Pro Series Weight Distribution System, part # PS49583. This complete system includes head assembly, adjustable shank, lift brackets, round bars, lift chains, pin and clip. You can add friction sway control # 83660 and 2-5/16 inch hitch ball # 19286.

As you make your selection, please keep in mind that for two of these recommendations you will need to order a hitch ball in addition to the weight distribution kit.

You indicated in your question that your prior experience with the Reese RP66067 did not convince you of the merits of sway control components. Please bear in mind that the ride quality you experience under tow conditions can be affected by variables such as wind, weather, temperature, road conditions and your trailer load. Having a sway control system in place can only improve the drive quality you experience and will also help to keep your tow vehicle, its passengers and your trailer as safe as possible. In order to get maximum benefits from any sway control system careful adjustment is required to match driving and load conditions.

I have attached a link to a page containing some additional information about weight distribution and sway control systems that you might find useful as you consider the options above. There is also a second link that will take you a page with installation videos and related information that might prove useful once you are ready to do your installation.
