Installation of Redarc Brake Controller Wiring on 2013 Ram 3500

Question:

I have a ram 3500 2013 with a factory brake controller. The adapter for the wiring has a plug for the red wire and I cant find where it connects on the truck end. I have crawled around everywhere looking for it taped up be the steering column, checked by the e brake side. Nothing matches up. The stock controller has another plug going into it but nothing that fits the small red wire on the new harness. Most of the various directions I read are for trucks with no factory brake controller installed. Please share your insight.

For your Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR you will use the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail - RAM # 3023-S or harness # TM75295. The red wire on that harness will connect to the center high mounted brake light wire on your truck. You will want to trace the wire from the brake light over your head on the cab to connect to with the quick splice connector.
