Highest Capacity Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter
Question:
I have a flat bed with a recessed hitch and I recently purchased this Demco conversion from you. My trailer weighs 21960 fully loaded. I understand you cannot legally tell me this is ok. However what are my options?

Other than getting below the 21,000 lb capacity of the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045, there aren't any specific options with this adapter, though I do want to mention for a recessed gooseneck the correct Recon is the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046.
Having said that, there is a different part that has a 25,000 lb capacity and works with a recessed gooseneck on a flatbed, the B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3050.
This is the only option for a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter with the capacity you need. Just keep in mind it does require a minimum 18" x 18" recessed box, and the maximum depth the recessed box can be is 4".
