Can A Class II Hitch Carry 3 Bikes?
Question:
Is this class 1 able to carry 3 bikes on a platform style hitch rack? Also is it something to be concerned about if the hitch is not perfectly leveled? I had mine installed by a local shop and it has a slight downward slant

Expert Reply:
Class I hitches are only rated for 2 bikes, even if the carrier could hold more.
As for it not being leveled, that doesn't sound right. I attached a picture of a hitch installed here at etrailer and you can see it does not have a downward slant. I attached the installation manual below and you can watch the attached video as well. I recommend taking it back to the shop to make sure they installed it properly before you put any bike racks on it.
