How to Determine Which Thule Force XT Cargo Box would Allow Rear Hatch of 2014 Audi Q5 to Open

Question:

Hi - I am trying to figure out if the Large 16c ft or XL 18c FT box will fit better on my 2014 Audi Q5 with factory crossbars. I want to get the XL if possible but need to be able to open the rear hatch. Thanks if you guys know!

The Thule Force XT Large (16 cu ft) # TH6357B and the Extra Large (18 cu ft) # TH6358B both fit the factory crossbars of your 2014 Audi Q5 but to determine if either will allow you to open the rear hatch with the box installed you'll need to take one simple measurement. You'll need to measure from the center of the front crossbar back to the rear hatch seam. The Large size requires 47-1/2 inches at least for that measurement and the Extra Large requires 51-1/8 inches.
