Solution for 3 inch Hitch of 2019 Chevy Silverado So Adapter Isn't Needed
Question:
I bought a 2019 Chev Silverado 3500 new a year ago. One of my biggest complaints is the stock receiver. Being 3inch and all my trailer accessories being 2 1/2. Yes, it came with a reducer like your part #58550. The problem every time I use my heavy equalizer hitch it pushes this reducer forward making it very hard to align the pinholes. Then removing the hitch the reducer comes out. This is a very annoying design. Has anyone made a foolproof part that has a set screw or like that keeps this reducer in place for perfect pin alignment?

We don't have a great way to line up the hitch adapter easily but we do have a solution that would allow you to bypass using a hitch adapter altogether by replacing the 3 inch hitch with the Curt 2-1/2 inch hitch part # C15860.
