Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Compatibility With EOH Brake Actuator and Disc Brakes
Question:
Hi, I bought the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller and and 7 pin connector kit from you and am planning to install electric-over-hydraulic brakes with Timbren 3500 Axles ASR35HDS02 w 4inch lift, brake ready and Long Spindle for larger tires. Is the HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness - 1,600 psi Item # HS381-9067 compatible with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller? Which disc brake kit complete would you recommend? Titan, Dexter, or Kodiak? I need maximum corrosion resistance for salt water etc. I like the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10inch Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 3,500 lbs Item # K2R35S The trailer wheels are 3500# 5x4.5inch BC with 235 75R 15 off road tires and hauling a light weight expedition camper. Thanks

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR is designed to be used with Electric Over Hydraulic brake actuators. The HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness - 1,600 psi # HS381-9067 will work well for you utilizing that brake controller and disc brake assemblies.
For your brake assemblies I recommend the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 3,500 lbs # K2R35S if you already have idler hubs. If you don't then I recommend using the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet and Stainless - 3,500 lbs # K2HR35DS to replace your hubs with integrated rotors. Stainless steel will have the best corrosion resistance for saltwater use. Either of these options will work well with your 15 inch tires/wheels so you will be good to go.
