Can Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch be Towed In Slid Back Position
Question:
Can the hitch be used to pull the trailer down the road in the rear position safely?

Expert Reply:
When using a slider hitch like the B and W Companion for the Ram rail kit part # BWRVK3670 you do not want to go faster than parking lot speeds with the hitch slid back. Any faster than that and the reduced braking and handling of the trailer's pin weight being too far back behind the rear axle would be unnecessarily dangerous.
