Thule Roof Rack Fit Kit and Feet Compatible with 2017 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a Ford F 150 2017 four door with short bed. I have the Thule roof rack from a 2009 F150. Can I just buy the fix kit 145177 and have it fit the new truck? Also I wanted to add a lock. Is the Th450400 the right lock for the roof rack?

For your 2017 Ford F-150, Thule does not have a fit kit that is compatible with your Rapid Traverse Feet # TH480R. You will need to upgrade your towers to the Evo Clamp Feet # TH710501 and then the fit kit # TH145177 you referenced. The lock cores from your old Traverse feet can be used in the Evo Clamp feet and you can also reuse Thule aero style crossbars. If you want the newer style locks, the # TH450400 are compatible with the new feet as well as backwards compatible with the older feet. The newer locks don't have the key number printed on the face of the lock cylinders for better security, but you will want to write down your number and keep it somewhere safe if you ever need replacement keys.
