Connecting a Trailer with a 5-Way Round to a Vehicle with a 5-Way Flat Trailer Wiring
Question:
Hi, I have a 5 pin flat connector on my truck female and just got a trailer with a 5 pin round connector male. is there an adapter that will work for me?

There are some great solutions to your problem, but we do not have a 5-pole flat to 5-pole round adapter. Your best option is to wire a 5-pole flat connector such as # HM47910 into the back of a 5-pole round socket such as # PK11502 to make a functional adapter. It would be a bit sloppy but it would work.
Otherwise, your only other option is to replace the 5-pole round connector on your trailer with a 5-pole flat connector that would fit your truck with no problems. If you decide to go this route, use the # HM47910.
