Timbren Suspension Enhancement for 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500 Towing 12K Gooseneck Trailer
Question:
I have a 2009 Chevy 2500 HD, I’m wondering if these are will fit my truck as well as the capacity. The gooseneck i tow weighs around 10,000-12,000 lbs, i see the “capacity” on these are 6000lbs. The tounge weight is no more than 3000lbs on my gooseneck, would these be a good fit to take some of the “squat” out of my truck?

The Timbren # TGMRCK25S Aeon Suspension Enhancement springs are indeed a fit for your 2009 Silverado 2500. The springs will offer 6000 lbs of support, but they will not increase the weight bearing capacity of your rear suspension. One nice thing about the Timbrens is that they won't impact your ride quality unless you have a load in your truck bed, either cargo or from the pin weight of a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. Once the rear suspension compresses by 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches, the Timbren springs will contact the axle and come into play.
This being said, I believe you'd be happier with your ride quality and the overall performance of an air bag kit versus that of the Timbrens. Air bags would allow you to perfectly dial in the necessary amount of support and would certainly provide a smoother ride. I'd recommend the # F2250 which provides up to 4800 lbs of support which is plenty to cope with the pin weight of your gooseneck trailer.
I've linked to an installation video.
