Which Trailer Wiring Harness Fits a 2008 Nissan Xterra Without Tow Package
Question:
2008 Xtera Did not get a tow package, but the trans oil cooler is installed. I installed one of your trailer hitches. I have a un-used connector underneath on the driver side in front of the spare. Its square like this part is. Is there a T-one connector that would attach to this and give me a 4 pole hookup?

Expert Reply:
Because your vehicle did not come with a tow package, you will need the Plug-N-Tow Vehicle Wiring Harness # 43605. This will plug right in for you and give you that 4-pole hookup.
This harness is a powered converter which draws power directly from the vehicle battery instead of through the wiring system. Connection points are located behind the vehicle tail lights. An additional wire will need to be run to the front of the vehicle to connect to the positive post of the battery.
