Receiver Size of Ultra-Fab 2-Inch Bumper Mount Hitch # UF35-946401
Question:
Can this hitch be purchased with a 2 1/4 receiver
asked by: Harold
Expert Reply:
The Ultra-Fab 2-Inch Bumper Mount Hitch, part # UF35-946401, is only available with a 2-inch receiver opening. All of the RV bumper mount hitches will have a 2-inch size receiver opening.
Trailer hitch receiver sizes are available in three different sizes, 1-1/4 inch, 2-inch, and 2-1/2 inch. The two most common sizes would be the Class I and Class II 1-1/4 inch, and the Class III and Class IV 2-inch. The Class V 2-1/2 inch size is used on heavy-duty trucks.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer hitch sizes.
I would recommend to double check the size of the shank that will be going into the hitch receiver to make sure you have the correct measurement.
