Trailer Tire on PWC Trailer is Rubbing Frame
Question:
Just acquired a double PWC trailer. It is a 2009 Sea Lion and is all original. Left side spacing is about 1/2” between tire and frame. Right side spacing is about 1/4.” The right side tire rubs. All new bearings and tires inflated to correct pressure! Would worn out leafs cause this? Could axle be bent? It seems I may be able to shift axle an 1/8” to side to try and achieve a 3/8” spacing. Tires are 205/65-10.

From your photo, it appears that the tire is only rubbing on a small portion of the trailer frame, not in a compete arc. This leads me to believe that the axle has most likely been bent. You can certainly try shifting the axle, but I'm not convinced that 1/8 of an inch is going to get you where you want to be. After you try shifting the axle, have someone follow you while you're towing the PWC trailer, and have them watch that wheel to see if it's wobbling.
If you need t replace the axle, we offer one that might work for you. If the existing axle has a 57-1/2 inch hub face to hub face distance and the spring centers are 46-1/2 inches apart, use part # CE33201GA-HUB.
