Troubleshooting Brake Output Circuit on Trailer that Has Lower Voltage
Question:
5th wheel brakes set up very soft with the controller set on 10. Brakes have been adjusted. I’m getting 12 volts at junction box on hitch but only 9.5 volts at the brake drums does this sound like a bad ground. Thanks for your ideas

It sounds like you have a really long brake output circuit wire or one that is using too light of wire gauge. You'd need to use 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which is sold by the foot from us.
