Are Factory Coil Springs Removed to Install Firestone Coil-Rite Springs on a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Do the stock coil springs need to be removed in order to install the air springs? Do you have any photos of the completed installation? Installation video/instructions? Id like to see where the air lines are installed/stowed at the back of the vehicle.

According to the isntallation instructions for Firestone kit # F4170 for the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe which I have linked for you you will not need to remove the coil springs for installation. The jounce bumpers inside the springs will be removed. We have not yet had the chance to install this system on a Santa Fe so we do not have a video or pictures.
There are some helpful diagrams in the instructions along with tips on routing the air lines. I do recommend using a tubing cutter, # AL10530, to get the most square cut on the lines. I have also included a link to our Firestone FAQ article that might help. I have also linked a video of a Coil-Rite system being installed on a different vehicle. The vehicle and system are different but it should give you a good idea of how these products install.
