Difference Between The Rigid Mount And Folding Curt Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier

Question:

I see that etrailer makes ta 24 x 60 cargo basket in a folding model and Curt has one in a rigid mount,both 2inch receiver. Is there any significant difference in the stability of the basket between the two? My vehicle is a 2020 Ford Edge. Thanks,

There will be more movement with the Folding carrier like the etrailer brand Cargo Carrier # e98874 since it has one more joint held in place by a clip. It's not much of a difference but it does make a difference if that makes sense and of course it will be able to fold up towards your 2020 Ford Edge when you're not using it to haul anything unlike the rigid mount carrier # C18152.

If you do want the tilting carrier which I recommend because then you'll be able to access your hatch when you have stuff loaded, then the # e98874 is a great choice. I use the etrailer cargo carrier all the time, but that's just me.
