Where is the Brake Controller Adapter Plug on a 2006 Dodge Durango
Question:
Where do you plug in a brake controller adapter harness in a 2006 Dodge Durango. Cannot locate a port under the dash.

Expert Reply:
If your 2006 Dodge Durango came with the 7 way plug from the factory, the plug for the brake controller adapter should be up along the kick plate near the emergency brake. If your Durango did not come from the factory with a 7 way plug, that port is not going to be present and you wouldn't be able to use the # 3020-P to install a brake controller.
If you don't have the port to plug into, you'll instead need to use the # 20127 and hardwire in the connection. I've linked a video of a hard wire installation on a Durango, as well as a video that shows where the port is on a Dodge Ram truck that will help give you a better idea of what to look for.
