Recommended SumoSprings for 2020 GMC Sierra Towing Multiple Trailers
Question:
Are the 1000# and 1500# springs the same size in length? I have a 2020 gmc 1500 crew cab occasionally tow with it. My heaviest trailer is a landscape trailer with tractor total weight 6k. If running unloaded will I notice if either of the jounce springs is on the vehicle? I am leaning to the 1500 cap one.

Yes. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs 1000 lb springs # SSR-209-40 and the 1500 lb springs # SS45FR are a similar length. The 1500 lb springs are 1/4 inch longer at 11 inches and they are also slightly wider. This is what helps them have the higher support capacity. The 1500 lb option also has the ability to utilize a spacer if you want them to engage sooner. When the vehicle is run unloaded, there won't be any noticeable difference in ride quality because the factory suspension will be utilized alone until enough load is added to engage the SumoSprings.
For your application I do recommend going with the higher capacity spring to give you payload and towing support on your 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. This will serve you well and requires no maintenance.
