Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2019 Honda Odyssey

Question:

I have leased 2019 Honda Odyssey and I would like to install this hitch for our cargo carrier. My question is do I have to trim the fascia or can I just leave off the fascia until I remove the hitch? I plan just using the hitch for a few road trips and removing the hitch prior to the end of the lease. Thank you for the videos and your help with this. Part # e98855 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite

You do not have to trim any type of fascia on your 2019 Honda Odyssey when installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98855.

As you can see from the linked video install of this hitch on a '19 Odyssey, there is a plastic panel on the driver's side of the frame you will need to pop off to install the hitch, but you can leave that off and do not have to trim it and re-install it. Just keep it around and since you plan on removing the hitch you can re-attach that panel when you do that.
