Compatibility of the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket and 2 Bike Carrier With Kids Bikes

Question:

Will this rack work if you want to attach smaller bikes? For example, if the rear wheel doesnt make it all the way to the back cross bar? Im thinking about a 20inch or 24inch in kids bike. Seems the rear wheel would not sit correctly and could fall through the parallel bars. Any way to accommodate?

The Rhino-Rack XTray Pro Cargo Basket and 2 Bike Carrier - Steel - 58-1/4" x 41" - 165 lbs # RRRMCB03 will work with smaller kids bikes. The tire will be supported by the middle horizontal rail ban the strap to secure the tire will help support the weight as well along one of the parallel rails the tire sits on if you have a slightly longer wheel base.

You can add another strap like the Replacement Hook-and-Loop Straps for Reese Q-Slot Bike Carrier - Qty 4 # 63135 between the parallel bars to make a wheel holder if you prefer.
