Can CE Smith Bunk Brackets CE10196G-4 Be Used with 7k Boat

Question:

I’m rebuilding the bunker brackets on my Pacific Trailer to accommodate a 1998 Grady White 228-g boat that totally gassed up and equipment weighs around 7.000 pounds. Trailer is built out of 5” C-channels with 12 bunker upright supports used to mount 2 2’x6’x810’ long bunker boards and 2-6’ long B-Boards. Will the Smith brackets hold this much weight? I also need a drawing showing the over all dimensions of the brackets With the bunker board angle bracket attached so I can determine what length to buy with out having them stick down pass the c-channel support.

The CE Smith Brackets # CE10196G-4 you mentioned do not have a stated weight capacity but as long as you install them properly and use your best judgement with placement and with the bunks you'll be fine with what you are doing.

Here's dimension info on the brackets:

Dimensions of bolster bracket: 15" tall x 4" wide
Mounting slot dimensions: 3" long x 1/2" wide
Horizontal spacing between slots: 1-3/4"
Dimensions of swivel bracket: 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide x 2" tall
Flange mounting hole diameters: 3/8"
Flange mounting hole spacing: 2-1/2" apart on center
1-1/4" Between each of the 3 holes
