Service Kit and Autowlok Repair Kit for a Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar
Question:
one side of my falcon 2 became hard to unlatch. What would cause this. I also broke the hard plastic knob on the release button. I think it also had a keeper on the pin. The hitch is about 5 years old. I tow a 2007 vue.

If the tow bar arm or connection points were stressed enough they could bend and that can lead to it being difficult to operate. Other moving parts could become dirty and/or corroded and affect the way the tow bar operates. It sounds like the damaged part you mentioned is the Autowlok. For a repair kit use # RM-910003-80.
It probably would be a good idea to replace some of the hardware using the service kit # RM910003-65. If you notice that either arm or any of the hardware is bent you should stop using the tow bar and replace it with a new one. A damaged bar could be compromised which could lead to tow bar failure.
