Why Doesn't Reese M5 RP30890 Fit 2020 GMC 3500 with OEM Rail Kit

I HAVE A 2020 GMC 3500, TRYING TO PUT 5TH WHEEL HITCH IN IT. IT HAS THE OEM SET UP BUT MY HITCH DOESNT LINE UP. I HAVE PART NUMBER 30890. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

The problem is that for some reason GM decided to change the OEM fifth wheel rail kit design in 2020 and the hitch you have now # RP30890 is for the older version.
So at this time you'd need a new hitch like the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3710 which was designed for the 2020 rail kit. Most refer to this as the nicest hitch around due to how quiet and well made it is.
