5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ram 3500 Long Bed With Factory Puck System to Replace Reese Elite

I bought a 2020 Ram 3500 with the factory puck system for 5th wheel hitch. I am trying to find an adapter that will fit one of my hitches. I have a pre-2012 Hijacker hitch with the non-standard spacing. I was told there is no adapter that fits this hitch. I also have a Reese Elite 18 hitch that is meant for similar puck style, but different size/spacing than the factory prep. Is there an adapter that will work for either of these hitches?! I dont want to have to purchase a completely new hitch, especially since I have 2 trucks and would like to be able to use it in both I dont want to have to purchase new mounting brackets for both.

I can absolutely understand not wanting an entirely new 5th wheel hitch, but there isn't an adapter for your older Hijacker or the Reese Elite that will allow you to use them in your 2020 Ram 3500 with the factory puck system, so you will need a new 5th wheel hitch.

For a 5th wheel hitch that will fit directly in the pucks of your 2020 Ram 3500 I recommend the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # C16044 or Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # RP30918.

These are both very high-quality hitches that have superb jaw systems which cling to your king pin for a more comfortable towing experience with less chucking and jarring than lesser hitches. To offset the cost of having to get a new hitch you can sell your other hitches, for which there should be a good market. This will allow you to use the 5th wheel puck system of your Ram 3500.
