Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.7L V6
Question:
I have an 05 JGC 3.7 V6 that I wish to set up for towing. Can you help me with specifics on which coolers I need to purchase and have installed. From what I can tell from looking through your site there appears to be a need for transmission, oil, and power steering coolers. If so, can you help me with recommendations as to what is really needed. Also, should there be additional suspension such as the air bag installed within the coil springs on rear? Thank you for your assistance.

Most towing packages will come with transmission coolers, I would recommend you just get one of those for now as most vehicle engines and power steering systems do not overheat when towing within the towing capacity listed for the vehicle.
For a transmission cooler I would recommend you get the largest cooler that will fit in front of the radiator. You will need to measure the area in front of your radiator to see what would fit. I attached a page that has all of the recommended coolers for your vehicle, but if you can fit it I would recommend you get a Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets # D13503. The dimensions are listed on the product page for you to check out.
I attached an FAQ article on transmission coolers and an installation video for you to check out also.
