Is 2006 Pontiac Vibe FWD Automatic Transmission Flat Towable
Question:
Can I flat tow this vehicle without tearing the transmission up?

According to my research, your best bet would be to use a Tow Dolly like # RM-2050-1, but ONLY if your Vibe is equipped with the U341E automatic transmission, it can be towed if a transmission lube pump is installed. We don't offer the lube pumps, you'd need to locate a part # LP-BK01-019 lube pump kit online.
If you decide to go that route, you'd need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring harness, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter to successfully flat tow your 2006 Pontiac Vibe.
For a tow bar, the Roadmaster # RM-522 Falcon All-Terrain tow bar would work well. For base plates, use # 3130-3. For a wiring harness, I'd go with # RM-15267 as a permanently installed option or # TL21RK if you'd prefer a magnetic mount option. For a braking system, a portable system can be swapped to a different vehicle in the future if needed, and there's no expensive and complicated installation required. I'd recommend the Brake Buddy Select, part # HM39524 for reliable and predictable braking.
Assuming your Vibe is at stock ride height with the stock tire size, when installed the base plates will be 16 inches above the ground. If the receiver on your motorhome has a greater than 3 inch +/- height difference, you'd need a high/low adapter. I'll link you to our selction of adapters and to an article that shows how to determine which one you'd need.
