Is There a Class III Trailer Hitch for a 2020 Hyundai Kona To Use 2 Bike Rack
Question:
Hi - I have a 2020 Kona and a 2inch bike rack 1up USA, heavy duty, three bikes total, the racks together are 68lb. The bikes are mine 42lb electric without battery, and two regular kids bikes, so like... 40 more lb. Total of about 175. Am I stuck?? I cant get a 2inch hitch and an expander makes the hitch capacity 100lb only? Blergh. Is there any other option here, other than a new bike rack? Are there any 2inch hitches that will fit on this car, just to allow me to keep the 200lb tongue weight and not for anything else? Thanks.

I do have an option for you but there are only class I trailer hitches available for a 2020 Hyundai Kona so regardless of the hitch size, the maximum number of bikes that can be carried is two which has more to do with leverage than weight. The best option would be to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11529 and then a new bike rack, the Thule Helium 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH53GC would work for any two of the bikes.
The final bike could be broken down and stored inside the vehicle or you could carry it on the roof with a rack if available.
