Can Reese Goose Box be Used with CM Aluminium Flat Bed with Recessed Gooseneck

Question:

I have a 2019 CM Aluminum flatbed with welded recessed gooseneck hitch on a 2015 Ford F-250 short bed. The recessed box dimensions are 15” x 15” x 4.5” and the hitch is a welded in BandW that the top of the recessed 2-5/8inch ball is 1-1/8” below the aluminum deck measured with a straight edge across the deck and tape measure. I have a 42foot 5th wheel rv with a Trailair 18K 5th wheel pin box air ride. I spoke with Demco about their recessed gooseneck adapter part number DM8550046, but they said that the top of the ball needed to be be within 13/16inch from the deck. What are the options for this situation? Would a Reese Goosebox fit and/or are there other options that would maintain the RV warranty?

The dimensions of your recessed area are compatible with a Reese Goose Box like part # RP85FR. We've asked Reese about this in the past and they've told us that the recessed area needs to be at least 15 inch by 15 inch and no deeper than 5 inches. So what you have is perfectly compatible.

The Goose Box is only option that is compatible with RV frame warranties as well.
