Can Reese Goose Box Fifth Wheel Adapter be Used with Recessed Ball Gooseneck

Will the Reese goose box hitch work on a 2017 dodge flat bed truck with the ball reseeded in the bed, the top of the ball is is slightly below the top of the bed, thank you

We've ran this question by Reese before in the past and they've told us that to use a Reese Goose Box like # RP85FR with a recessed ball gooseneck would require the recessed area to be at least 15 inch by 15 inch and no deeper than 5 inches.
