How to Reduce the Spring Bar Pressure When Using my Husky Centerline Weight Distribution System

Question:

Love the hitch! Problemor not I’m having is after setup and 1000mi I’ve had passenger side bar getting increasingly difficult to lift to the pad. Other side always goes no problem. Almost like I have 600# on one side and 1000# on the other. Everything is set right, or so I thought, but just am having this problem of being unequal in loading left to right. I can switch the bars around but the situation remains. Btw numbers are, up equal holes on pad arms. Before you ask that.

Sometimes I have ran into this issue when I'm setting the second bar on weight distribution systems like the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control part # HT32218. Meaning when one side is in it causes the other to have more and requires more force.

The options to reduce the force would be to lower the brackets on the trailer frame one notch to ease the amount of pressure or what I prefer raising the trailer jack higher to ease the amount of force it takes to put the bar in place.

Of course be sure to chock the wheels when setting up your system regardless of the method you choose to use.
