Can Trailer Hitch on 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Carry Mobility Scooter and Carrier

want to carry a mobility chair on a ramp using the hitch on my 2020 jeep Cherokee trailhawk. how much weight can it handle?

It will depend on the specific hitch you have installed.
The hitch currently on your Cherokee Trailhawk should have a sticker on it that lists it tongue weight capacity which represents the maximum amount of weight that can be suspended from the receiver tube. If the hitch is a Class III with a 2 inch receiver, the tongue weight capacity is likely to be between 350-675 lbs.
Per the owner's manual, the vehicle itself has a 450 lb tongue weight capacity, but you shouldn't have too much trouble staying under that. The average scooter weighs around 300 lbs and most of the carriers we offer like the # FHG77ZR weigh between 50 and 80 lbs, so as long as you can stay under a combined weight of 450 lbs or the tongue weight capacity of the hitch (whichever is lower) you'll be fine.
