Rhino Rack Batwing Awning Crossbar Compatibility  

Question:

I’m wondering if I’ll be able to mount this awning onto Yakima jet steam bars. They have the top slot along them but I’m not sure if it’s the correct size slot for the classic mounting attachments that come with the awning will work.

The Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00427 do have the channel but the weather strip on the inside will make the install difficult. If you need the Rhino-Rack Batwing Awing # RR33400 to be safe, you need to get the Rhino Rack Vortex Crossbars # RRVA165B-2 or the Heavy Duty Crossbar # RB1120B-2 but you'll need the adapter kit # RR33101.

There is a awning that will work with your current Yakima JetStream Bars, Its the Yakima SlimShady Awning # Y36VR.
