Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Install Kit for 2014 Ram 1500 Regular Cab Short Bed

Would this work on my ram 1500 short bed with reg cab?

According to Curt, their universal install kit included with the # C16116 isn't a fit for your 2014 Ram 1500.
For your regular cab with the 6-1/2 foot bed, unless your fifth wheel has the dished in corners or a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder, you'll need a sliding 5th wheel hitch like the # 16516 and the # RP30035-386 install kit from Reese. The sliding hitch is necessary to prevent the front of the fifth wheel from hitting the rear of the truck cab during turns. If your 5th wheel has the Sidewinder or the dished in corners, you can use the stationary hitch, part # C16115.
If you wish to install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed, you can do so using part # 50-97-410.
