Can Double Step for RV be Replaced with Triple Step

Question:

I have a Forest River Stealth model trailer. Forest River installed a 2 step Lippert model, which really does not suit the trailer. On perfectly level ground, the first step is 13 1/2inch high, and thats too high for us older people. I would like to install a 3 step on it with 7inch risers, but it appears that you jump the width of the bracket 2inch wider. I dont want to mess around with cutting off the factory bracket, so does Lippert have a 3 step that will bolt into my existing frame? If not, is there another manufacturer that has a 3 step, with 7inch risers that will bolt up to my trailer? Please let me know. Thank you.

We aren't going to have a three step solution that will bolt right up to what you have currently. The larger amount of steps all have the additional width. If you'd be willing to have new brackets installed you could use a three step kit like the part # LC432687 that you referenced which has 7 inches between the steps.

For new outriggers/brackets you could use the part # LC301704.
