Best Solution to Create Lift with Suspension Enhancement on 2010 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Hi! I recently ordered and received the etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier with Tilt option e98874. I think it will work out great for us. However, I noticed that on our van, if there is anything greater than ~100 pounds on it, there is significant reduction in clearance of the rear wheels. I had been looking at suspension options, such as the AirLift 1000 or the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs. Between those 2 options, is one a betterinch option. We will also be doing some towing with our small trailer - just some lumber for small projects or new furniture when needed - nothing long-distance in our plans. I look forward to your advice and recommendations. Thank you!

You could use either the # AL60815 or the # CSS-1168R on your 2010 Honda Odyssey to help with towing or carrying a heavier load, but because of the ease of installation and the lift it would provide, I do recommend using the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1168R.
These coil spacers will provide you with a bit of lift but also create some added cushion that will help improve the ride quality of your vehicle. The AirLift # AL60815 isn't going to do a great job of providing you with any real lift when all is said and done and are more designed to help improve ride quality and fight sag when towing. Additionally, because you would need to air up the bags and monitor them for air loss periodically, I really prefer the Coil SumoSprings to the AirLift air bag kit.
