Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring on 4-way and 7-way Connector of 1998 Toyota T-100
Question:
I have 1998 Toyota T-100 ,it has a 7 way round and a 4 way flat plug ins. I plugged in my flat bed trailer,which i know that all the lights work correctly. the trailer has a 7 way plugin. So when i connect it to the t-100 the Left turn signal does not work.The 4 way flat is a plug and play Hopkins brand i have had problems with the it before and replaced it twice.Can you help !!!!!

For your 1998 Toyota T-100, it sounds like you have a 4 way that connects to a 7-way adapter. I recommend testing your 4-way harness using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to make sure that wiring harness is failing at that left turn/stop pin.
If you need to replace the harness, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118496 is my recommendation. This will give you a great harness that will allow you to connect the 4-way trailer or the 7-way adapter and give you the features you need. If the 4-way works but the 7-way adapter doesn't then you can replace the adapter with # HM47180.
